Family Rescued After Dingo Drags Child From Campervan on Fraser Island, Queensland

A dingo dragged an infant from a campervan where he had been sleeping with his parents on Fraser Island, authorities said on April 19.

The child’s parents were woken by the sound of his cries, which were becoming more distant, a statement from rescue service RACQ said.

The father ran outside, to find the dingo had dragged the child some distance from the van. The father fought off the dingo before emergency services were called. A rescue helicopter arrived at around 12:40 am, RACQ said.
