Firefighters and police in San Francisco, California, said they rescued a family after a tree fell on their vehicle during a powerful storm on January 4.
The San Francisco Fire Department said it responded to reports of trapped motorists near Larkin and Grove streets, not far from City Hall.
Images posted by the department show a large tree over a white sedan, while video released shows crews removing the tree with chainsaws. The department later said the family rescued from the vehicle was “okay”.
More than seven thousand residents across the city were left without power, according to Poweroutage.us, with energy provider Pacific Gas and Electricity warnings locals to prepare for “extended outages”. Credit: San Francisco Fire Department via Storyful
