Family of Taunton man killed in crash raise funds for 'proper send-off'
The family of a man who was killed in a crash in Taunton earlier this month is raising funds for a "proper send-off" for him. Barrie Austin Sellick died following a collision on January 13 on Wellington New Road.
Barrie, 68, was found with significant injuries and died at the scene. Now Kirsty Hayes and Amie Seaforth have launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for the funeral of their biological father.
Barrie was well-known in the Wellington and Taunton areas and loved by many. His death has deeply shocked his family and the community.

Kirsty, along with her siblings Daniel, Amie, Jason, and Nathan, hopes to give Barrie the proper send-off he deserves so loved ones can pay their respects. So far, £245 has been raised toward the £2,600 target.
Kirsty said that she "started this fundraiser after the tragic news of my biological dad Barrie Austin Sellick passing away in such traumatic circumstances. He was a well-known man in and around the Wellington and Taunton areas, and this news has come as a huge shock to myself and my siblings Daniel, Amie, Jason, and Nathan."
She added: "We feel our dad deserves a proper send-off and so people can say their goodbyes and pay their respects to him."
She later added: "I would just like to thank everyone that has donated so far; the support from each of you means a lot to all of us children."
Police initially arrested a man in connection with their investigation, but following a review of CCTV and dashcam footage, the man was released without charge and without further action.
