Fans call for Liam Gallagher to replace Prime Minister Theresa May after he wades into Brexit debate

Liam Gallagher’s fans are urging him to consider a move into politics after he let rip on Brexit.

The former Oasis frontman waded into the Brexit debate saying ‘good people’ should be able to ‘move and groove wherever they want’.

‘No thoughts on it, man. I love Europe,’ he told NME when asked his thoughts on the EU referendum. ‘I guess the borders have got to be tightened but all that stuff about going “This is my country,” I don’t get that. We all live under one sky.

‘I certainly don’t sit there and go, “This is my f****** England, stay out,” but I think we should definitely keep an eye on who’s coming in and out of the country. That just makes common sense because you don’t want a load of loony c**** coming in.’

He added: ‘But good people should be allowed to move and groove wherever they want.’

Fans are now praising his views, with many even championing him to replace Prime Minister Theresa May after claiming he has a better Brexit plan.

One Twitter user said: ‘I would vote @liamgallagher for PM his views on brexit are spot on!’

Another wrote: ‘Erm….Liam Gallagher for PM?’

While another said: ‘Thinking of becoming a PM anytime soon @liamgallagher????…….you get my vote man.’

And another commented: ‘Language may be harsh; but his point is pretty darn spectacular: Liam Gallagher is the most sensible voice on Brexit.’

One Twitter user even expressed hope to see Liam in power alongside US rapper Eminem.

@Eminem for USA president and @liamgallagher for PM in the UK….. the world will come into balance…. #brexit #trump,’ they tweeted.

Liam’s comments came just hours before Eminem launched a scathing attack on President Donald Trump in a freestyle rap for the BET Hip Hop Awards.

The rapper branded Trump a ‘kamikaze which will probably cause a nuclear holocaust’ before praising former President, Barack Obama.
