Fans of French screen icon Jean-Paul Belmondo crowded the streets outside a Paris church today (September 10) where the "Breathless" star was laid to rest. Hours earlier, hundreds queued in the dark at Invalides to catch a glimpse of Belmondo's coffin and pay their final respects. Belmondo, whose early career was closely associated with the New Wave of the 1960s, died on September 6 at his home in Paris, at the age of 88.
