Yahoo News Fantastic Four reboot writer apologises for the film
It's a truth universally acknowledged that Marvel's Fantastic Four haven't been given the portrayal they deserve just yet – that 2015 reboot included, of course.
Fortunately, even those involved with Josh Trank's Fantastic Four are aware of that, including the film's screenwriter Jeremy Slater.
Jeremy revealed his true feelings about the much-maligned film when announcing his latest gig on Twitter. (So, uh, fingers crossed Tommyknockers has a better reception, then.)

"In meetings I always joke that I was raised by the two Stephens - King and Spielberg - but that's not far from the truth," Jeremy wrote, while admitting his excitement for the upcoming Tommyknockers adaptation.
The same can't be said for Fantastic Four, however. All that's worth is an apology, we're afraid.
"I only had three dream projects on my bucket list. One was Marvel (umm…sorry about that one, guys), one was Star Wars, and the third, of course, was Stephen King," he said.

It's not all bad news for fans of Marvel's First Family, though, as the comic book giant recently welcomed back the original Fantastic Four line-up in this month's Fantastic Four #1.
The new series will be written by Dan Slott with artwork by Sara Pichelli as they bring back Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm.
If you're worried what Marvel's Fantastic Four renaissance might mean for the MCU, don't – another ensemble film is a while away yet. Fantastic.
