Far-Right Group and Anti-Fascists Clash on Portland Street

Police in Portland, Oregon, responded to clashes on May 1 between rival groups outside a city bar.

The brawl took place outside the Cider Riot bar on Couch Street, following May Day rallies. Local news reports said antifa, or anti-fascists, had gathered at the bar to mark May Day, when a group of far-right supporters turned up.

Here, one person is seen knocked to the ground in the melee. In a statement, Portland police said about 60 people were involved in the clashes. They said no one came forward with any reported injuries. Police were seeking further information from the public.
