Farrah Abraham, of Teen Mom and Celebrity Big Brother fame, has hit back at critics of her decision to share a video of her nine-year-old daughter, Sophia, dancing in her underwear.
The 27-year-old single mum and adult film star shared the controversial video of Sophia on her Snapchat account earlier this week. The video shows Sophia dancing in a Nordstrom’s changing room while wearing a full face of make-up and Calvin Klein brand underwear.
Many of her followers criticised the video, with several accusing her of exposing her child to potential ‘child predators.’
Abraham has dismissed the criticism and exclusively told US news source TMZ: “I know my daughter and I are living our best lives wearing Calvin Kleins.”
She added that the video was not inappropriate, and was filmed in a public area of the changing rooms where customers can leave their individual cubicle to look in additional mirrors.
This is by no means the first time the reality star has come under fire for her parental skills. She has been criticised for exposing her daughter to adult matters, such as bringing her along to an August 2018 court appearance and allowing her to watch her ‘designer vagina’ procedure.
Her social media followers have also expressed continual concern over her decision to allow her young daughter to wear heavy make-up. Sophia regularly shares images wearing make-up on her Instagram account, which has over half a million followers.
One post in December of last year drew plenty of criticism, with one user writing: ‘Make up on ur little girl? Making her have insecurities from so young’ another: ‘Why so much make up ? Stop making Sophia rush to grow up’ and a third: ‘for real who puts make up like that on a child.’
Farrah Abraham shot to fame in 2009 as one of the original ‘Teen Moms’ of the hit MTV series 16 and Pregnant and then its spin-off series Teen Mom.
She appeared Teen Mom up to last year when she was forced to leave the series over her continued involvement in the sex industry.
