A new fast food restaurant is set to open in the heart of Tonbridge with the promise of cheap and affordable meals. Burger franchise The Hungry Cow has chosen Tonbridge’s town centre as the home of its next branch, which will be the second store of its kind to open in Kent.

Already operating a branch in Rainham, the chain also has stores in Whitechapel, Leytonstone and Canning Town. The new restaurant will be opening at 11 Quarry Hill Road, taking over the space that previously held Bubble Wraps.

Specialising in beef burgers, the menu has a particular focus on value, with burgers starting from under £2. The basic cheese burger costs £1.80, while the brand’s signature angus beef smash burgers cost £6.49.

Additionally there are kids’ meals for £3.99, plus chicken, fish, halloumi and falafel burgers on offer. Once open, guests will also be able to pick from a variety of wraps as well as sides including chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, chicken strips and fries, plus bubble teas and milkshakes.

The team behind the restaurant said: “We're thrilled to announce the grand opening of our new shop, The Hungry Cow at 11 Quarry Hill Road, Tonbridge, TN9 2RH (previously Bubble Wraps). Thank you for your patience while we bring you this new, exciting addition to our High Street”.

While an exact opening date is yet to be announced, the restaurant has confirmed plans for a soft launch on Sunday (July 7), further details of which are to be announced nearer the time. Further details about Hungry Cow and the full menu can be found on their website here.
