The Fate of the Furious - aka Fast & Furious 8 - might well be even longer than Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and we can only hope it's because Dame Helen Mirren has got loads of lines.

Yep, according to Cinemarx.ro (via ScreenCrush), the next Furious instalment is a whopping 160 minutes long, while the gruelling Batman v Superman was a mere 150 minutes.

It also means it's not much shorter than really-long-films Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and The Dark Knight Rises. Previously, the longest Fast & Furious film so far had been Furious 7, at 137 minutes.

Earlier this month, we finally discovered Mirren will be playing the mother of Shaw brothers Jason Statham and Luke Evans, who have been blighting the FF gang's world since Fast & Furious 6.

Speaking to Yahoo Movies, Evans - whose character Owen Shaw was last seen in a coma after falling out of a plane in the sixth movie - revealed the news about Helen's role, saying of Owen's fate: "People come around from comas, so who knows?

"He's in a military hospital because he's the most wanted man in the world, but he's got a very powerful brother, and he's now got a mum as well, who's played by Helen Mirren."

Helen previously said that she wanted to be in a Fast & Furious film as she always does her own driving in her movies.

"I had always had a secret hankering to do Fast and Furious because I love driving cars," she said. "Of course, when I finally got my chance, I wasn't driving the bloody car. I was in the back of an ambulance with Jason Statham."

The Fate of the Furious races into cinemas on April 17.
