Fast-Growing Brush Fire Erupts in Los Angeles County
Mandatory evacuations were in effect for parts of Castaic, California, as a fast-growing brush fire erupted on the afternoon of August 31.
The Route Fire grew to at least 600 acres, forcing mandatory evacuations and road closures in the surrounding areas, the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s office said.
