In Fast X, Dante kicks off his revenge plot which begins with attacking Cipher (Charlize Theron) and taking control of her operation. Cipher manages to escape and, though beaten and bruised, heads to Dom and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) to warn them about Dante’s plans.

Cipher tells them that Dante will target Dom’s son Little Brian (Leo Abelo Perry) if they don’t stop him, and after she is taken away by the Agency Dom decides to go after him. He and Letty realise that a mission Roman (Tyrese Gibson), Tej (Ludacris), Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel) and Han (Sung Kang) are on in Rome is a trap, and they try to intercept.

The events in Rome lead Dom and the family to be painted as terrorists, and they become targets for the new head of the Agency, Aimes (Alan Ritchson). Letty is taken to an off-grid prison while Dom finds a way to draw Dante out, and the others go underground with a rendez-vous point in mind.

By the end of Fast X the whole crew are still scattered. Dom reunites with Little Brian thanks to the interception of his brother Jakob (John Cena), but his reunion with Roman, Tej, Ramsey and Han is scuppered when Aimes blows up their plane and reveals that he has been working with Dante the whole time.

Dom and Little Brian manage to escape Dante’s clutches but they are very much alone in the world (at least it seems that way, but surely Ramsey et al are not dead). Meanwhile, Letty manages to escape alongside reluctant ally Cipher, and the film ends with them meeting a very-alive Gisele (Gal Gadot) who has met them in Antarctica with the submarine the crew had in The Fate of the Furious.

So, the pieces are set on the chessboard for Fast 11. Dom is at his lowest point with nothing and no one around him except his son, leaving him with one mission now: to come up with a new plan to take down Dante.

This will likely be done with the help of Letty, Cipher and Gisele and the submarine. While the fate of Ramsey, Han, Roman and Tej will likely be explored in the next film. Other characters like Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Luke Hobbs will also play a part in the story.

In Fast X, Shaw was shown heading to Europe to protect his mother from Dante’s hired hitmen, and Hobbs appears in the film’s post-credit scene where he receives a phone call from Dante saying he is next on the hit list for the role he played in killing the villain’s father.

All of which sets the stage for Fast 11, which is expected to be released in 2025.
