Fatima Whitbread has revealed her eyebrows were singed off while she was on I’m A Celebrity South Africa.

The Olympian is one of a host of former campers who entered the jungle again for the upcoming All-Stars series, which was filmed in 2022 but starts airing this month.

Speaking about her experience, she shared that she “lost” her eyebrows while she was camping in Kruger National Park, reported Metro.

“There was intense heat there,” Whitbread was quoted as saying.

“It was so awful, and in the camp at night time it can get really cold. So we’re all standing over the fire and for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and standing over a furnace like that, it dries your skin up, it shears your eyebrows!”

Show bosses have said that the challenges are “bigger and tougher and the environment harsher and more unforgiving” this series.

Other celeb campers have also teased that it was harder than ever, with the contestants taking on new gruelling trials.

Maths whizz Carol Vorderman was another star who returned to the jungle for a second stint and said it was pretty “brutal”.

Speaking on This Morning, she said: “Well anything you have seen in Australia, the producers have gone, 'Oh well they have done that before' and then it's like, upped by 50% and more, it is harder."
