A new FBI spin-off from Dick Wolf is reportedly in the works.
Deadline reports that CBS is looking to expand the FBI franchise with a series focusing on the FBI’s international operations.
The project, which has the working title FBI: International, is reportedly still in the "dealmaking stages" and is being written by Derek Haas, who has worked on Wolf series' Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Chicago Med, and Chicago Justice.
Deadline adds that Haas would executive produce the series with Wolf Entertainment’s Wolf, Peter Jankowski and Arthur Forney. Universal Television, part of Universal Studio Group, produces in association with Wolf Entertainment and CBS Studios.
The series will see Christopher Meloni reprising his Law & Order: SVU role as Elliot Stabler for the first time since he left SUV in 2011.
The series sees Stabler now heading the organized crime unit after a "devastating personal loss".
The synopsis adds: "Stabler will aim to rebuild his life as part of a new elite task force that is taking apart the city's most powerful criminal syndicates one by one."
And we now know for sure that it will feature the reunion fans have been waiting for between Stabler and Olivia Benson after Mariska Hargitay shared a photo of them on set together in January.
