Fear TWD star: 'Season 4 is not the show I first loved'
Fear the Walking Dead has undergone a reboot of sorts during the fourth season.
Two of the show's biggest characters, Madison and Nick Clark (Kim Dickens and Frank Dillane), were killed off in season 4A as Morgan Jones (Lennie James) crossed over from The Walking Dead to become one of the central characters in the spin-off.
Michael Greyeyes featured heavily in the third season as Qaletaqa Walker, an enemy-turned-ally of lead character Madison.
His character (and companion Crazy Dog, played by Justin Rain) actually survived the events of the third season, assisting the Clarks from afar as the dam they were staying at was destroyed.
Greyeyes was asked about his thoughts on Dickens leaving the show, and the actor expressed that the fourth season has moved away from what made him love Fear the Walking Dead in the first place.
"Before I worked on the show, I was a big fan of it and especially Kim," he said on Twitter.
"When I heard she had left the show, I was shocked. Sadly, with all the other departures as well, I've lost the sense of it being the show I had first loved."
Fear the Walking Dead airs on AMC in the US and on AMC on BT TV in the UK, while The Walking Dead returns to AMC on Sunday, October 7 in the US. The series is available on FOX and NOW TV in the UK.
