Further reports of poison being found at Parkhurst Forest have led to Isle of Wight police, once again, upping patrols.

Officers have issued a warning to dog walkers, urging them to remain vigilant.

It's not the first time the force has received reports of suspected pet poisonings in the area.

In November 2020, rat poison and corn was found on the paths near the Marks Corner entrance to Parkhurst Forest.

Reports surfaced again last year, with several dog walkers reporting their pets had fallen ill.

Following recent incidents, police have posted to say their Cowes Neighbourhood team are returning to the area.

A spokesperson said: "If you think your dog may have eaten poison seek veterinary advice immediately."
