Fears for Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly as Killing Eve actress spotted in audience: ‘No one is safe!’

Fans were left fearing for Tess Daly’s safety after Killing Eve star Jodie Comer was spotted in the audience for Strictly Come Dancing.

The 25-year-old star took the nation by storm with her portrayal of murderous assassin Villanelle in the BBC drama.

Strictly fans tweeted their "panic" at seeing Comer in the live audience and joked Daly could be her next victim.

One user wrote: “Villanelle in the audience on #Strictly I'm scared.”

A second tweeted: “Season two might be interesting. Which Strictly star is she bumping off?”

A third posted: “Killing Eve's Jodie Comer checking Tess out for weak spots. #Strictly.”

The eight-part series follows bored desk-bound MI5 security officer, Eve Polastri, played by Sandra Oh and glamorous Russian assassin Villanelle who charges large amounts of money for ruthlessly killing people.

Eve is assigned by her boss to track down the psychotic killer, but soon becomes obsessed with her target which triggers the start of a deadly cat-and-mouse game.

Comer is among a host of famous faces who have watched this year's Strictly, including Nicole Scherzinger and Ruth Langsford.
