Fenty has unveiled its first limited-edition collaboration with this up-and-coming East London designer

Hot on the heels of winning the Urban Luxe award at last week's British Fashion Awards, Fenty is showing no signs of slowing down.

Helmed by musician-turned-mogul Rihanna, the fashion juggernaut has unveiled its first-ever collaboration, and it's with an up-and-coming East London designer.

A Sai Ta, whose young label ASAI has exploded on the 'gram, has interpreted the Fenty floral printed jersey dress and long-sleeved top in a limited-edition collection of 24 pieces.

ASAI was founded in 2016 by British-Chinese-Vietnamese designer A Sai Ta, who is a recent graduate of London's fashion design incubator, Fashion East, and has become most well-known for its "Hot Wok" styles, which have also been worn by the likes of Jorja Smith.

Speaking to Vogue, Ta said: "“I think both brands have a ground-up approach. We draw inspiration from the streets and are for the real girls we know and love. We both target women of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds, who, in some ways, seek to lead."

The designs have been reimagined in Fenty's Iced Rose and Light Matcha colourways, but in the style of ASAI's "Hot Wok" mini dresses and turtleneck tops.

RiRi was first spotted sporting ASAI's designs back in October, when she posted a video of her wearing one of the brand's resort 2019 pink tops to her Instagram, which she accessorised with a Bottega Veneta Pouch bag and Fenty shades, no less.

Fenty launched in May, making Rihanna the first ever black, female designer to create a brand under LVMH.
