'Feral yobs' who 'threw brick at baby' in Caernarfon provoke outrage
North Wales Live readers have taken to the comments section to vent their frustration over the recent news that a baby in a pram was struck by a projectile, raising serious concerns about youth behaviour in the town centre of Caernarfon. Police have pinpointed 14 youngsters, aged between 9 and 15, believed to be linked to these troubling events.
A North Wales Police Gwynedd North statement said: "We’ve received reports of youths throwing items, which has subsequently resulted in vehicles being damaged and on one occasion, a baby in a pushchair was hit."
PC Jordan Jones has voiced the gravity of the situation, saying, "The recent behaviour in Caernarfon is having a serious impact on residents and is putting community members at risk."

Views of the subject varies as one reader, Borntobemild says: "Maybe they've been watching footage of 'grown ups' lobbing missiles at the police and thought 'hey, that looks like fun'?" Get all the latest Gwynedd news by signing up to our newsletter
Rojer adds: "The police reckon they know the identity of 14 of them but will only talk with the parents who will claim police persecution as 'little Johnny is a good boy'."
While Sollii wants to bring back corporal punishment: "Ignore the moaners and bring back the birch. The offenders are not usually stupid, most of the crimes are to show off to others, if getting caught meant showing how much they would cry in front of their mates they would not do the crime. The end product would be very few birchings and very little crime."
Rathers adds: "I was a single mum for personal reasons. My daughter would never have done this because she was brought up to respect people. Please don't generalise. I think the parents of these feral children should be prosecuted and maybe they would teach their children right from wrong."
Gwyndaffy says: "All these feral kids are the next generation of boy racers, as their parents were (and probably still are) the previous generation."
Cymro1973 believes: "Police know about this for weeks...bound something like this was going to happen. They need a good hiding and most probably the parents got no respect for police either. They need a good hiding the lot of them.. If this happened to me I wouldn't think twice of giving them a good slap whoever they are."
Jimcat agrees: "Kids these days need a good hiding, a good old fashioned SLAP ! I'll never forget the whack across the hamstrings with a cricket stump. If we'd of behaved like that Borstal we'd be heading not to mention the punishment dished out by the Policeman back then."
Sickofallthetitsonhere replies: "Whack with a cricket stump? That’s child abuse. I can remember myself getting a good slap but not from someone that was tooled up."
Jacllangefni adds: "Not allowed to touch these kids, they just shout abuse at you, they are brought up to be able to get away with anything and have no respect. The parents will just say they can't control them."
SCATHINGPEN believes "It's the fault of certain parents who...can't or won't control their offspring.. kids are not afraid of the police or their teachers and getting into trouble, even if caught means, nothing can be done."
WelshViking agrees: "Talking to the parents won't make one jot of difference, they themselves were exactly the same, many still are. They only have children for the state benefits. And there's the answer, cut the benefits of those who refuse to control their children."
Steamnut blames the parents: "The Police 'urged parents to speak to their children about their behaviour.' Fat chance! Bad parenting is now endemic in our society and everyone knows that the judiciary only hands out soft sentences now. So there is no disincentive at all. How much worse will it get before something is done?"
Bngr asks: "Why would a 9 year old be out and about causing trouble? Parents should be seen by social services."
