Yahoo News Ferne McCann CONFIRMS she's pregnant
Former TOWIE star Ferne McCann has confirmed that she's pregnant with with ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins' baby.
It comes after Collins was arrested on Saturday night (April 22). The 24-year-old has been charged with 14 counts of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and one count of throwing corrosive fluid on a person with intent to do grievous bodily harm, in connection with an incident at Mangle nightclub in Dalston, London on April 17.
Now, Ferne's spokesperson has confirmed that the 26-year-old reality star is pregnant with her first child.
Speaking to Digital Spy, her rep said: "Ferne is grateful for the sympathetic way news of her pregnancy has been covered and people's support and obviously her first concern is for her child's health.
"Accordingly she does not wish to discuss the pregnancy further given the early stage it is at and the immense strain that Ferne is currently under.
"Nor does she wish to discuss her ex-boyfriend who she does not recognise from the events of the last week.
"Ferne is in no way seeking sympathy for her situation and is determined to do all she can to have a happy and heathy child and face the challenges of being a single parent with all her energy.
"Her thoughts are with the victims of the horrific attack on Easter Monday."
The Metropolitan Police had previously appealed for Collins to come forward in connection with the London nightclub acid attack.
Two men were rushed to an Essex burn unit in the early hours of Easter Monday (April 17) after allegedly being doused with a noxious substance during a row between two groups of friends at Mangle nightclub.
While these two men suffered the most severe injuries, 20 people had burns of varying degrees of severity when the substance - which police believe was acid - was thrown.
Ferne had briefly rekindled her romance with Collins following her unsuccessful stint on Celebs Go Dating, and also previously urged him to come forward.
Her spokesperson previously told Digital Spy: "Ferne is aware that the police wish to speak to Arthur Collins and the nature of the accusations against him.
"Obviously these are highly shocking and Ferne has co-operated with the police in their inquiries.
"She was not with Arthur on Sunday night, was not at Mangle, and has no direct knowledge of the events that unfolded. As much as anybody she wants to know the truth and urges Arthur to co-operate fully with the police and attend a police station immediately."
The Met Police report that three other people have also been arrested in connection with the incident, resulting in two people being released from police custody and one other 21-year-old being charged.
