Yahoo News Ferne McCann shuts down Lorraine as she asks about ex
Ferne McCann has shut down questions about her jailed ex Arthur Collins.
The former TOWIE star appeared on ITV's Lorraine today [December 11] to promote her new ITVBe reality show First Time Mum, which premieres tonight and documents her day-to-day life with month-old-daughter Sunday.
However, when Lorraine Kelly asked about the little girl's father, Ferne made it very clear she did not want to discuss the matter.
She told the presenter: "I don't want to talk about it anymore. I don't want to dwell on it. I just want to look forward to the future."
Collins is currently in prison after being found guilty of carrying out an acid attack that left several people injured.
The 25-year-old was arrested earlier this year on suspicion of carrying out an acid attack at the Mangle E8 night club in Dalston, London.
Collins was found guilty of 14 charges against him in November 2017, following a trial at Wood Green Crown Court. He is due to be sentenced later this month.
"It has been a tough time but obviously I can't dwell on that anymore," Ferne continued. "I'm feeling positive and I'm just looking forward to the future. I mean, I have Sunday and things are good."
Since giving birth to Sunday, This Morning correspondent Ferne has moved back in with her mother, who she credits with being a huge help as she adjusts to life as a single mum.
"It has been so nice moving back with my mum," the reality star added.
"She's been a huge support for me and for Sunday. And it's allowed me to solely concentrate on Sunday while mum is doing all the cooking, cleaning and just helping me out."
Opening up about her new reality show, Ferne admitted that she "didn't know anything about motherhood" before she welcomed Sunday into the world.
"Filming the programme and being pregnant was the perfect apprenticeship to motherhood," she added. "I really learnt on the job.
First Time Mum is a one-off, 90-minute special. It will be aired on ITVBe tonight at 9pm.
Lorraine is on ITV, weekdays at 8.30am.
