New festival coming to Weymouth next summer

A NEW family-themed festival is coming to Weymouth in 2023.

Summerfest is set to be jam-packed full of action when it comes to Redlands Leisure and Community Park on Saturday, June 3, 2023.

The festival, which will raise money for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, will include live music, a fireworks display, a pop-up farmers' market, a classic car display a kids' football tournament and a chance to watch the FA Cup final.

It has been created by Weymouth and Portland Round Table and will run from 10 am until 10 pm on the day.

Entry is free for all although an optional donation can be given on arrival, with all proceeds going to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

For those that are interested in hosting a stall at the festival, there is an expression of interest form available to fill in on the Weymouth round table website at https://weymouthroundtable.co.uk/.

Weymouth and Portland Round Table is a group that aims to make a difference in the local community.

Some of their recent work includes donations to Fancy’s Farm on Portland, Chickerell Primary School and Portland Gig Club with more donations set to follow.
