Festive extravaganza with fireworks, Father Christmas and free parking
Dulverton by Starlight is the crowning jewel in the winter events calendar with plenty to keep you busy. Most of the 40+ independent shops are open this Sunday and brimming with goodies for Christmas and tempting treats. The main street is closed to traffic and filled with stalls selling local crafts, food and drink while roaming entertainers juggle, bubble and amuse you throughout the afternoon.
Father Christmas will be a welcome visitor to Dulverton by Starlight and will be in his grotto until 5.30 to see the children, with a chance to get their faces painted while they wait.
As twilight falls, get the festive vibe by joining in with singing all your favourite carols around the big tree then watch the spectacular fireworks display light up the sky over the town.

Dulverton Town Council has liaised with Somerset Council to ensure that parking in the town’s car parks will be free of charge on Sunday 1st. Parking is always tight at this event, so take advantage of the park and ride running from 1.30 to 7.30 plus, new for this year, a disabled drop off area at the top of town has been included. This is only for disabled or less-abled people. The committee would be grateful if it is not used as a general drop off.
The Dulverton by Starlight committee want to keep this a free to attend event. This is achieved through valued support from our traders, sponsors, fund raising events and your donations so if you see the collecting buckets or QR codes around town, drop in some change or scan the code to help keep it free.
