Festive Plymouth burger 'tastes like Christmas in every bite'
A raved-about Plymouth burger joint has launched a mouth-watering “humburger” Christmas addition. Busting with festive flavour the burger is oozing with tasty turkey bacon, creamy camembert, caramelised pigs in blankets and hearty beef patties, but it's only available for a limited time.
Popular eatery Smashland Burgers is owned by local man Taylor Yates. The 29-year-old opened the business waterfront in August 2024 at a unit on Commercial Wharf near the Barbican.
Now, Taylor is proud to announce "The humburger" as a festive menu special, he's even released a Christmas promo video about it - which follows the character Scrooge through Victorian Plymouth. The much-loved Jacka Bakery also features in the reel which was created by video editor Ashley Moran.

“Join Scrooge as he strolls through the Victorian streets of Plymouth in our festive video and discover the magic of this mouthwatering creation: Double aged beef patties, Creamy Camembert bomb, Crispy turkey bacon, Red cabbage, Jacka Bakery artisan brioche, Sweet cranberry mayo, Caramelised pigs in blankets.
“It’s a burger that brings all the festive flavours to the table. Available from Tuesday (November 26) for a limited time, so don’t miss out - get your hands on The humburger and taste Christmas in every bite!”
The unique Smashland Burgers are always made with Jacka Bakery’s brioche buns. The “whole bodied burgers” are made using only local suppliers and butchers.
Vegan options are available at Smashland Burgers too, along with a Nashville hot breaded fish fillet bun that’s also on the menu. One TripAdvisor reviewer described the burgers as “outstanding” and they’re also top-rated on Google with happy customers describing “stunning” and “delicious” burgers.
