Fiesta of Fire returning to the Royal Albert Dock
The Fiesta of Fire festival is returning to Liverpool's Royal Albert Dock. Bring the Fire Project, a Liverpool-based collective of fire dancers, circus skills teachers, and flow arts performers, leads the event.
The week-long display sees pyrotechnic artists take over the docks with fiery performances filled with music, dance, and flames. The showcase is free to attend, with family-friendly entertainment available for all ages to enjoy.
Fiesta of Fire returns to the Royal Albert Dock between February 15 and 22. Last year saw a range of new additions to the festival, including a fire-breathing dragon stalking the docks.

A three-metre-high dragon roamed the docks filling the sky with flames. Fiesta of Fire takes place in various locations across the docks, with fire displays primarily held outside the Martin Luther King Jr. Building and along Hartley Quay.
There was also a fire-walk, allowing visitors to put their bravery to the test with temperatures of more than 1200 °C. Guests could sign up and walk barefoot across scorching hot coals in front of a crowd of onlookers.
Outside the Martin Luther King Jr building stood several professionals tasked with keeping the burning embers at bay in a cornered-off arena away from the public. Two faux grass patches were placed in the centre of the ring, next to an ashy coal fire stacked high with blazing coal. You can read more on our experience coal walking here.
Fiesta of Fire returns on Saturday, February 15. A full rundown of what to expect this year is expected "soon."
