Finnish Fans Chant Support for Denmark's Christian Eriksen at Euro 2020 Match
Soccer fans chanted Christian Eriksen’s name after the Danish player collapsed on the field at Copenhagen’s Parken stadium during a UEFA Euro 2020 match against Finland on Saturday, June 12.
The UEFA said Eriksen was stabilized and taken to the hospital after a “medical emergency.” The Danish Football Association tweeted that Eriksen was awake and undergoing assessment at Copenhagen’s Rigshospitalet hospital as of approximately 7:30 pm local time.
The match was suspended, and teams later agreed to restart the game on Saturday night.
