Fire at Albuquerque Recycling Yard Leads to Air-Quality Warning

A fire at a recycling yard in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on September 29 led the city to issue an air-quality health alert, according to local officials.

Local media reported that 20 units from the Albuquerque Fire Rescue and Bernalillo County Fire Department were responding to the blaze. Footage taken in the Albuquerque area showed heavy plumes of black smoke rising into the air.
