Fire Breaks Out at London Apartment Block

More than 100 firefighters were deployed to a fire at an apartment block in London on July 20, the city’s fire brigade said.

Footage published by Michael Edwards shows smoke billowing from the southeast London building.

According to the fire brigade, the fire was burning at a four-room apartment on the 17th floor of the building.

“Firefighters are also tackling a fire involving around one hectare of grass opposite the block at the junction between Manwood Street and Silverland Street,” the fire department said. The cause of the fire was not known as of Wednesday afternoon. Credit: Michael Edwards via Storyful
