Fire Breaks Out at Major Russian Natural Gas Plant

A fire broke out in a massive new natural gas processing plant in the Russian Far East on October 8, according to reports.

Firefighters extinguished the flames at the Amur Gas Processing plant by 1:05 pm, local media reported. No one was hurt in the incident.

The plant, in Amur Oblast, opened in June and supplies natural gas to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline.
