Fire Breaks Out at Sanctioned Coke and Gas Plant Near Moscow
A fire broke out following an explosion at a coke and gas plant near Moscow on Sunday, March 5, according to Russian state media, citing authorities.
TASS reported that the fire broke out on a separation column at the Moscow Coke and Gas Plant in Vidnoye, which is run by Mechel, a Russian mining and metals company. There were no casualties, TASS said.
Footage released by the Ministry of Emergency Situations shows emergency services at the plant in Vidnoye. The ministry said the fire had been extinguished.
