Fire crews continued to battle northern California’s Caldor Fire, as the blaze grew to over 114,100 acres by August 24.
Footage filmed the day before shows the Caldor Fire burning trees near Highway 50, and a helicopter dropping water near buildings on the south side of Grizzly Flat Road.
The Caldor Fire was 9 percent contained by August 24, according to official reports.
Cal Fire reported on August 24 that the fire had destroyed over 450 commercial buildings and single property residences, and threatened over 17, 400 additional structures.
As of August 24, mandatory evacuation warnings are in place for parts of El Dorado County, while evacuation warnings were issued for parts of El Dorado and Amador Counties.
