Water Dropped on Gulch Fire in California's San Gabriel Canyon

Firefighters battled the Gulch Fire burning in the San Gabriel Canyon, California, on Tuesday, August 30, which the Angeles National Forest Service said had grown to 110 acres with 35 percent containment.

The forest service said fire crews were cutting away grass and brush near the fire’s edge and extinguishing hot spots inside the perimeter of the fire. Air support would attack active fire in steep terrain, it said.
