Fire Crews Rescue Dozens From Burning Residential Skyscraper in Milan

Dozens of people were rescued from a burning 20-story skyscraper in Milan, Italy, on Sunday, August 29, local media reported.

The building, which houses about 70 families, was evacuated along with neighboring residences, according to local news reports.

Footage released by Italy’s national firefighters, the Vigili del Fuoco, shows the firefighting operation on Sunday evening. Fire officials said flames burned at the top of the building before spreading to the lower levels and damaging about twenty cars parked in the area.
