Fire erupts on Edinburgh street as thick smoke and flames seen from homes
A backyard blaze in Niddrie ignited alarm in the area as firefighters arrived on the scene early on November 13.
A shed was reported to have caught fire on Niddrie House Drive around 7:50am.
Videos from the scene show black smoke billowing above homes from a back garden.

Footage from a nearby resident in an adjacent building shows the blaze rising several storeys from a garden beside a trampoline.
Smoke could be seen rising from the scene all the way from Craigmillar Shopping Centre on Niddrie Mains Road.
Video footage from residents waiting for the bus by Lidl were alarmed when they saw the smoke billowing from the residential area.

An onlooker told Edinburgh Live that a shed in the back garden was ignited but that it was “all in ruins”.
First responders reported that the fire was extinguished and that there were no casualties.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7.50am on Wednesday, November 13 to reports of a shed on fire at Niddrie House Drive, Edinburgh.
“Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting a shed.
“There were no reported casualties and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
