Fire in Glasgow flat as Govan road shut by emergency services
Emergency services closed off a road in Glasgow’s Govan for four hours while battling a fire in a tenement flat.
Crossloan Road was shut around 5.30pm on Saturday (September 14) following reports of a blaze.
One person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but thankfully there were no further injuries.

A police diversion was put in place between Elderpark Street and Uist Street while the fire was extinguished.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.30pm on Saturday, 14 September, 2024, we were called to a report of a fire at a flat on Crossloan Road, Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended, and the fire was extinguished.
“One person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
“Following enquiries, no criminality has been established.”
