Fire service issue update on Gwynedd caravan and campsite blaze
The fire service has issued an update on a caravan and campervan site blaze which was battled by 11 engines over the weekend. It broke out at Evans Caravans and Camping, near Pwllheli, in Gwynedd, on Saturday evening, with the A497 closed between Dwyfor Food Park, Llanystumdwy and Chwilog.
Today a North Wales Fire and Rescue Service update confirmed the scale of the damage at the site, following the blaze. The cause is still unknown as investigations continue.
A fire service spokesperson said: "The call was received at 5.35pm on Saturday. Ten fire appliances and an Ariel ladder platform were in attendance at the height of the incident. Get all the latest Gwynedd news by signing up to our newsletter

"A commercial property and workshops were completely destroyed and 30 caravans were affected by the fire. The incident was under control by 9.57pm on Saturday. The cause of the fire is under investigation."
A spokesperson for Evans Caravans and Camping praised firefighters and the emergency services for their work over the weekend. They said: "Thank you to the fire crews, police, and locals for their support after a fire broke out at one of our dealerships last night. Thankfully, nobody was hurt."
