Fire in Los Angeles Burns Along Interstate 405 Near Getty Center Museum

The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) warned people living on the west side of Interstate 405 to prepare to evacuate as the so-called Getty Fire burned near the road approximately a mile north of the Getty Center in the early hours of October 28.

The Getty Center museum took to Twitter to say that their building was not in danger, and that the fire was north and west of the complex.

At the time of writing, the evacuation zone was set from Mulholland Drive down to Sunset Boulevard and from interstate 405 to the Pacific Coast Highway. Video here shows the fire as seen from the interstate, traveling south. Credit: Prunovineyard via Storyful
