Firefighters have completed their investigation into a blaze which engulfed a 4x4 outside a block of city flats. The fire service received 'multiple calls' over the fire which had engulfed the vehicle in Meir.

Now Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service say the fire had started accidentally. A crew was sent to the scene outside Dalehead Court, off Sandon Road, just before 4.25pm.

Firefighters discovered a Land Rover Freelander 'well-alight'.
