Fire Rips Through Russian Neighborhood Slated for World Cup Hotel

Investigators are looking into a fatal fire that swept through a neighborhood in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, overnight Monday, August 21, damaging an area where local authorities planned to build a hotel in time for the 2018 World Cup soccer tournament.

At least one person was killed and dozens injured in the blaze, which was extinguished early Tuesday morning.
