Fire Spreads Quickly Over Poole's Canford Heath

A heath fire driven by strong winds threatened homes in Poole, southern England, on Saturday, April 23, prompting road closures and evacuations, the Dorset & Wilshire Fire & Rescue Service (DWFRS) said.

This footage, taken soon after the fire started, shows flames leaping across Canford Heath, a protected wildfire area that is popular for recreational walking and cycling.

Firefighters were still working to contain the blaze as of around 9.30 pm on Saturday, according to DWFRS.
