Firefighters Battle Camba Laza Wildfire in Northwest Spain

Spanish firefighters were battling the Camba Laza wildfire, which has burned 740 hectares (about 2.8 square miles) in the northwest of Spain, as of August 10, according to local authorities.

The fire was first reported on August 9, in the parish of Camba, near the town of Laza.

The BRIF (Forest Fire Reinforcement Brigade) based in Laza were combatting the blaze and shared footage of the fire from the air and on the ground. A member of the team described the fire in a post as “simply brutal!” according to a machine translation. Credit: @BrifLaza via Storyful
