Firefighters battle caravan blaze in Cambridgeshire village
Firefighters battled a caravan fire in the Cambridgeshire village of Hamerton on Saturday (January 25). The blaze on Gidding Road saw four fire crews spend nearly three hours putting out the flames.
Nobody was in the caravan at the time of the fire, which is believed to have been accidental. A Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "At 5.56am on Saturday, crews from Sawtry, Huntingdon, Stanground and Kimbolton were called to a fire on Gidding Road in Hamerton.
"Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a wood burner in a static caravan. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and jets.
