Governor of California Gavin Newsom declared a statewide emergency on Sunday, October 27, as wildfires prompted new evacuations in the state.

About 185,000 people have been evacuated in Sonoma County because of the fire, which started Wednesday, October 23. The blaze has burned more than 66,000 acres and destroyed at least 96 structures.
