Firefighters Work to Control Blaze From Multi-Alarm Fire in Paterson

A large fire blazed on Straight Street in Paterson, New Jersey, on August 24, sending plumes of black smoke into the air, according to reports.

Local news reports said smoke from the fire could be seen in New York City, and across other parts of New Jersey.

Local residents warned motorists to plan alternate routes as the fire caused traffic buildup on Interstate 80 and other local roadways.
