Firefighters Save Historic Polish Palace After Roof Fire Breaks Out

Dozens of firefighters were dispatched to a fire in Korczew, in east Poland, as the roof and attic of a historic palace caught fire in the morning hours of November 10.

There were no injuries, and according to the local news outlet Tygodnik Siedlecki, the flames were under control by 8:30 am.

Built in the 19th century by a wealthy local family, the palace, recently restored with EU funding, now operates as a restaurant and hotel.
