Firefighters scrambled to 3am Chester tower block blaze
Firefighters were called to a blaze at a Chester tower block in the early hours of this morning. Two engines were sent to the block in Blacon.
And crews needed to clear smoke from the lobby area following the blaze on Glyn Garth. The alarm was raised just before 3.05am this morning (November 17).
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service sent engines from Chester and Powey Lane to the scene. A spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to reports of a fire in a tower block in Chester.

"Crews found a small fire involving rubbish in a first floor bin chute. They used a hose reel and two breathing apparatus to put out the fire, then used a large fan to clear smoke from the lobby area."
