Firefighters tackled a fire spot near the American River in El Dorado County, California, on August 26 as the Caldor Fire grew to 139,510 acres, according to official reports.
Footage shows firefighters battling wind-driven fire along Highway 50 in the community of Strawberry on August 26, the CAL FIRE Amador-El Dorado Unit said. Firefighters from Flagstaff, Arizona, were on the scene of the fire spot, which had grown from the south fork of the American River drainage.
