Firefighting Helicopter Scoops Up Water to Battle California's Caldor Fire

Aerial firefighters aided the battle against California’s Caldor Fire, that had burned 106,562 acres in El Dorado County, California, as of Monday, August 23.

This footage released by Cal Fire shows a firefighting helicopter scooping up water to battle the nearby blaze on August 22.

According to Cal Fire, 41,600 gallons of water and 17,400 gallons of retardant were dropped over the Caldor Fire on Sunday.
