Firefighting Helicopters Battle Wildfires in Southern Turkey

The death toll from wildfires raging in Turkey reached eight by August 1, local reports citing officials said.

More than 100 fires were reported over several days, affecting several tourist hot spots in southern Turkey. Most of the blazes were contained by August 2, officials said, with firefighters focusing on containing wildfires in Mugla and Antalya, according to local reports.
