Fireworks Explode From Yacht in Marina Del Rey

Fireworks flew from a 100-foot yacht moored at a Los Angeles marina on September 18 after the vessel caught fire with the pyrotechnics on board.

Lolita Minasova recorded at the Marina del Rey as the fireworks could be seen exploding above the vessel, as fire crews began to douse the blaze.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a call reporting the fire shortly after 8:30 pm.

Two passengers on board were able to exit without injuries, and crews worked to stop the vessel from capsizing onto nearby boats.

KCAL cited firefighters as saying they believed both fireworks and ammunition rounds were on board the yacht. Credit: Lolita Minasova via Storyful
